The project "Let's plant Trees in the Desert!" was my original inspiration.
I wanted to paint trees with liquid coffee on watercolour paper. The coffee pigments always collected at the edge of the drawn brush stroke. The more layers I applied, the darker the "colour" became.
I took advantage of this coincidence and dipped the watercolour paper directly into the coffee. When the liquid is immersed, it starts to move, creating wave-like structures. Repeated immersion creates mountains of coffee.
